Kaylee had an appointment with her specialist today and had another ultrasound. She's quite good at them now! ;) Although not much had changed on the ultrasound, her Dr. feels it is time to remove that "bag of cysts" we call a kidney. I asked him about her being so young and he said he preforms surgeries on babies and they have a great anesthesiology department at Children's. Kaylee had been vomiting a bit and becoming increasingly uncomfortable. Not to mention her abdomen was starting to get really large and her clothes started to fit like halter tops. I know the feeling! So, I agree, I think it is time.
I'm anxious to get the kidney out and be done with this chapter. It will be nice to move along with a nice healthy baby! But, I know this will be a difficult time for Kenny and I and ofcourse Kaylee.
It is all set for Wednesday morning.
He has scheduled her to be in the hospital two days but will try to get her out in one. It won't be an arthroscopic procedure, but the scar will be nice and small so it won't interfere with her modeling. ;)
As for the rest of the family.
The kids are bored to tears! They want out of the house! But it is proving difficult to find something to do in this heat that is cost effective and doesn't involve me trying to reign in three kids. Although, one is very "reingable"
Jonah preformed with Ovation Performing Arts last week and I am so proud! He did hip hop, jazz, musical theater, tap, acting, and two voice performances. I had no idea he had learned so much since all he says when I ask how class was is, "good." He also started martial arts class and is loving that as well. It really is a great balance for him.
Abby is loving Grandma's pool and the fear of water that was there last year is gone. She is quite the daring girl now! She started dance classes at Ovation, but puts her taps on and sits in the back and watches. She said she doesn't like there being other kids in there. When she gets home she shows me everything she learned. I don't blame her, I'd rather not be in a room full of people either!!
Kenny took the week off of Kaylee's birth and has been hard at work ever since. He is also started up Martial Arts like Jonah and is really starting to get into it. If you get a chance, ask him about the '55 Chevy, I'm sure he'd love to talk about it!
As for me, well... I haven't slept since Michael Jackson died.
